Call for Entries for Theater Festival
Fourth Annual Theater Extravaganza Set for Sunday, July 22, 2007
The growing San Francisco Theater Festival invites theater groups of
every stripe to participate in its fourth annual free festival on
Sunday, July 22, 2007, at the Yerba Buena Arts Complex in downtown San
Francisco. The festival will be held in both indoor and outdoor venues,
from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
An estimated 7,500 people are expected to attend 75 live shows, plus the
festival will be extended this year to include selected shows opening or
running the week following the festival. There is no fee to participate
and theater companies gain visibility, distribute marketing materials,
build mailing lists, and most importantly, join in this communal effort
to promote theatergoing. Presentations should be under 30 minutes (with
some exceptions), e.g. excerpts, one-acts, solo, scenes, selections.
This year’s festival is being produced in
partnership with the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival and in association
with ArtSFest.
Applications can be downloaded at www.SFTheaterFestival.org.
Deadline is May 1, 2007, however earlier applications receive priority
consideration for venue and time slot.
