WYLDSKY's Debut Album is the 2009 "Rock Album of The Year"!
The Los Angeles Music Awards has bestowed WYLDSKY's debut album with the 2009 “Rock Album of The Year” award. WYLDSKY also took home the “Best Live Performance of The Year” award and will be opening up the 19th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards event on November 12th, 2009 in Hollywood, CA.
(Billboard Publicity Wire) November 6, 2009 -- Formed back in 2006 by former Great White Guitarist Tyler Nelson, Wyldsky has spent the last 3 years tearing the USA a new rear end with their emotive and somewhat rugged sound, that harks back to the great rock sensibilities of bands like Led Zeppelin and GNR and even gives nods towards newer artists like Shinedown.

Completed by Guitarist Chad Quist, Bassist Douglas Richardson, Pianist Chris Turbis and Drummer Michael Lesniak; Wyldsky is a band made up of seasoned vets, that have played with such luminaries as Iron Butterfly, The Allman Brothers and Lynrd Skynrd. With such talent and prestige remaining very apparent throughout their debut, self titled album; it’s difficult to expect anything other than an album rife with rapturous and scintillating guitar work, Bonham like drumming and mammoth chorus’s.
Fine examples being the balls out rock of Next World and Wild Honey, while the fine Americana of Holding On and the tenderness and sheer power of Rendezvous stand their ground amongst the finest rock ballads recorded. While on the metal-infused Dog Daze and the feel good power of My Baby, the band exhibit their ability to switch from the fierce and forthright to the heartfelt and the emotive.
In a world of faceless bands and digitised music, a band like Wyldsky are an absolute blessing. Genuine, rough-edged and to-the-point hard rock the way it should be played; Wyldsky are one listen away from being your new favourite band.
