'The Janeen Mansour Celebrity Shoe Drive' If the Shoe Doesn't Fit… Throw It
The First Celebrity Shoe (Throwing) Drive and competition at the driving range of Rancho Park Golf Course in West Los Angeles will feature a host of celebrities throwing shoes, which will be collected and donated to needy families by the Salvation Army of Southern California.
Los Angeles, CA (Billboard Publicity Wire) January 5, 2009 -- TV Celebrity Host Janeen Mansour, Dubai.TV and a host of celebrities are kicking off the New Year with the first Celebrity Shoe (throwing) Drive, at the driving range, Rancho Park Golf Course, West Los Angeles.
Volunteers from the Salvation Army, Southern California region will collect the new and newly used shoes for needy families. The idea is the brainchild of Janeen Mansour, who will be the master of ceremonies at the event open to the public. President George W. Bush and the First Lady Laura Bush have both been officially invited to throw the first pair of shoes. Fifth District Los Angeles Councilman Jack Weiss has also been invited to participate.

TV Celebrity Talk Show Host Janeen Mansour, Dubai.TV, plans to launch the first ever celebrity Shoe Throwing Benefit and Drive at the Rancho Park Golf Course driving range. Although it is a celebrity event, it is open to the public. The public is invited to bring as many new or newly used shoes as they can.
"If The Shoe Doesn't Fit Throw It" for a good cause Saturday, Noon - 2PM, Jan. 10, 2008. There will be three categories: Children's, Ladies and Men's Competition. The Guiness Book of World Records has been invited for record toss. Winners in each category will take home "The Golden Shoe Award." It's a fun for the whole family event, and for the Salvation Army needy families. Come participate and help kick off the New Year on the right foot.
