Lime Studios Launches Lime Music Sound

Santa Monica, CA-based Lime Studios announces the launch of a new music composition and sound design division, Lime Music Sound, featuring DJs from the International electronic dance world.

Santa Monica, CA (Billboard Publicity Wire) January 23, 2008 -- Santa Monica, CA-based Lime Studios (www.limestudios.tv) announces the launch of a new music composition and sound design division, Lime Music Sound, featuring major DJs from the electronic dance world, including Felix da Housecat, Armond Van Helden, and Princess Superstar.

Lime Studios announces the launch of a new music composition and sound design division, Lime Music + Sound. Beginning to establish Music + Sound's reputation, Lime has assembled a cadre of freelance composers whose expertise ranges from full orchestral scores, to rock, funk, pop, and electronica/dance music. Lime Music + Sound launches with a spate of success stories already in place, with their musical stylings gracing several spots for Honda and Acura. Resumes of new composers added to the roster include spot tunes for Hummer, Old Navy, Tabasco and Life Savers, to name a few. On the sound design side, Lime Music + Sound has already worked on spots for G4TV, EA, Taylormade, Smirnoff, Acura and Nike.

Says Lime Partner, Bruce Horwitz, "Lime as a final mix company has grown steadily over the past 4 years. We're doing more mixing than we ever dreamed, so when mulling over which direction to grow next, 'Music + Sound' was a no-brainer."

Three recent signings are major DJs from the electronic dance world, including Felix da Housecat, Armond Van Helden, and Princess Superstar. Differentiating the new division from the mixing side, Lime Music + Sound boasts a separate reel and West Coast representation by Kelley Class. They're currently negotiating with East Coast, Midwest, and European representatives.

The complete Lime Music + Sound roster includes staff music composers Mark Meyuhas, Ben Decter, Roger Neill, Shira Myrow, Sharon Farber, Jamison Trotter, Gary Bears (of INXS) and Jimmy Khoury. The electronic roster includes Felix da Housecat, Armond Van Helden, Princess Superstar and Dan Chase / Mile High Club. Sound Designers on the roster include Rohan Young, Dan Chase, Ron Webb and Joel Waters.

About Lime

Founded by three audio heavyweights in late 2003, Lime quickly became a key ingredient in West Coast post-production. Forging an independent studio with the technical and professional clout to attract top tier projects, Lime offers audio post services for commercial and interactive projects, sweetening and final mixing for episodic television, and newly opened Lime Music + Sound. The recipe works, as Lime regularly turns out projects for Sony, Toyota, Milk, Honda, Budweiser and Pepsi, and has become the main squeeze of agencies such as Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Rubin Postaer and Associates, DDB Needham, TBWAChiatDay and Wieden+Kennedy.

One listen to Lime's refined sound lends new meaning to the company credo, "Good Ears."
