Los Angeles, CA (Billboard Publicity Wire) August 18, 2008 -- As Thump Records (www.thumprecords.com) celebrates an amazing 19th Anniversary, their B-DUB Imprint Joins with Big Day/Jaggo Records to present Grammy Award Winning artist Evelyn "Champagne" King's first release in 15 Years on August 19th, OPEN BOOK.

And Evelyn "Champagne" King Will Debut her New CD Live at the House of Blues in LA on August 19th With Special Guest, Latin Sensation Jodie V. Jodie's Thump Album SEED OF LOVE will drop September 9th featuring the single, "Uh Oh." Jodie V. joins Evelyn Champagne King as she unleashes her new album which also commemorates 30 years on the charts.

It's the 19th Anniversary of Thump Records. Thump President Bill Walker notes, "We made it through 19 years in this crazy business. We're proud to welcome Evelyn to the Thump/B-DUB/Jaggo family of labels and are excited to present her first release in 15 years to be released August 19th at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.

Evelyn "Champagne" King's new album -- Open Book -- is her first in 15 years. While working one night at Gamble & Huff's famed Philadelphia International Records' offices, A producer overheard some tantalizing vocals. There he discovered a 16-year-old Evelyn King singing while tidying up the offices. After signing the singer to a production deal, Evelyn "Champagne" King's debut single, "Dancin', Dancin', Dancin'" from her 1977 smash LP Smooth Talk hit the charts. But it was a song written by John Fitch and Reuben Cross entitled "Shame" that truly launched her career. Evelyn would go on to record 24 Billboard charting singles including such hits as "I'm In Love" and "Love Come Down." All the while, Ms. King developed a sizeable fan base with her incredible work ethic and non-stop world tours. Now Evelyn will release Open Book. "This one" she says lovingly, "is for my fans." The album features a new dance single, "The Dance" (remixed by the UK's Soul Seekerz - Rhianna), "Skillz" and the title track, a ballad Evelyn describes as "slightly autobiographical."

Latin sensation Jodie V.'s new single, "Uh Oh" features top-notch production. Her album boasts real lyrics and songs that contain no sampled music. In fact, Jodie V. is creating a buzz with her heated tracks. Her debut set, Seed Of Love is a street-wise blend of pop with hip-hop appeal to it. Jodi's voice is sultry, smoky, sexy and as real as it comes. On Seed of Love, Jodie V. shows an impressive musical range from the street hip 'love-gone-wrong' of "Crazy Chick" which has received regional mix show spins in Texas and Nevada to the previously mentioned "Uh Oh" which radio is already embracing. This single features a club-banging beat with Jodi's taunting and teasing, almost "too hot for radio" line," -- "You want it...I got it." Future chart toppers also include "He Ain't Everything," a slamming rhythmic track produced by Fingazz, who recently landed a top ten hit with "Lean Like A Cholo." David Salas, known for his major label, Latin music compositions, produced "Let Go" a crossover ballad with 808 booms, guaranteed to shatter any already broken heart. Jodi describes her music in simple, one-word phrases. "The songs," she says, are "inspiring, bright, soulful, comforting, rhythmic, emotional, real and sincere." Seed Of Love is all those things and more. Tracks include: Seed Of Love, Crazy B, Uh Oh, Breaking Down, He Ain't Everything, California Luvin', Let Go, Classy Ladies, Take Control, Crazy Chick.
