Legendary Hollywood Sunset Gower Studios Promotes Terri Melkonian as Top Ranked Woman Executive

Hollywood Film studio announces promotion of Terri Melkonian making her top ranking woman executive in Sunset Gower Studios.

Hollywood, California (Billboard Publicity Wire) April 13, 2007 -- Terri Melkonian, who joined Sunset Gower Studios ten months ago as vice-president of sales and marketing, has been promoted to the newly created, expanded position as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Corporate Communications, it was announced by Sunset Gower CEO Robert Papazian. She is now the highest ranked woman executive at the legendary studio. "Terri is a top executive and has proven herself to have particular expertise in film, television and commercial productions and is ideally suited to head up this triad of studio departments," said Papazian.

Since arriving at Sunset Gower several months ago, Melkonian has made an immediate impact, bringing a host of new and innovative productions to the lot, including the Fox feature, "Alvin and the Chipmunks," which will be the first animated film to be produced on the Sunset Gower lot in its celebrated 85-year history.

"I feel incredibly lucky to be working for Bob Papazian - he is a great mentor. With his vision, he has taken this studio with its rich filmmaking history from the time it was Columbia Pictures and is now building on its great legacy. By attracting an innovative mix of feature, independent as well as television producers and writers to this lot, we have launched a creative community for filmmakers. Sunset Gower Studios is currently undergoing an extensive multi-million dollar refurbishing and updating of its 12 sound stages, adjacent support rooms, 300,000 square feet of office suites, a screening room - all part of the studio's plans to bring 21st century technology to this historic lot. Construction is also underway on the most techno advanced post production facility in the world - a new 96,000 square foot, six-floor state-of-the-art building to house Technicolor post-production facilities, being readied for occupancy in December 2007.

Prior to joining Sunset Gower, Melkonian was a nine-year veteran production representative at Universal Studios. She is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a B.S. degree in Business.
