Royal Crown Revue Song Wins 'Dancing With the Stars'

Los Angeles, Ca. (Billboard Publicity Wire) December 13, 2007 -- Dancing with the Stars winners Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough receive a perfect score for dance performed to Royal Crown Revue's song "Hey Pachuco!"
"Dancing with the Stars" winner Helio Castroneves and partner Julianne Hough received a perfect score when dancing to Royal Crown Revue's "Hey Pachuco!" in the shows grand finale. The Royal Crown Revue song actually proved to be Helio's good luck charm, as he and his partner had received a perfect score from the shows judges on a performance of the same song earlier in the season.
"Hey Pachuco!" was originally written and performed by "gangster" big band Royal Crown Revue in the Jim Carey classic movie " The Mask", but has since taken on a second life after being featured in the two episodes of Dancing with the Stars. The Royal Crown Revue song was chosen by Castroneves personally for his finale performance on the show to highlight the passion and energy that he and partner Julianne Hough felt best demonstrated their style in the competition.
Helio Castroneves is best known to sports fans as the two time Indianapolis 500 champion, and for his signature victory celebration fence climbing.
Julianne Hough, Castroneves partner, was also the winning partner of speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno in the 2006 Dancing with the Stars finale.
Gangster big band, Royal Crown Revue were recently featured with Gene Simmons of the rock band KISS, in a two episode appearance for the forthcoming season of Simmons A&E show "Family Jewels". Upon recently returning from a sold out Australian tour, Royal Crown Revue have released their first Christmas song "Blue Christmas" to national radio, prior to completing their year end tour dates of: 12/12 Boston - Schullers, 12/13 New York - Blender Theater at Gramercy, 12/28 Long Beach, Ca - Alex's Bar, 12/29 Bakersfield, Ca - Fish lips, 12/31 Santa Ana, Ca - OC Pavilion.
