'80s sensation, The BusBoys will release tracks from "Sex, Love and Rock & Roll" beginning in February. Band leapt into mainstream with on-screen performance of their classic "The Boys Are Back In Town" in Eddie Murphy's film debut, Paramount's blockbuster, "48 HRS." First single, "It Must Be Saturday Night" will be available as free download beginning February 16 at www.busboys.com.

LOS ANGELES CA (Billboard Publicity Wire) January 31, 2007 -- Groundbreaking rock band The BusBoys, who roared through the LA music scene and became an instant sensation in the early 80's are back with fresh, hot, new music.

From the beginning, hailed in the Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, LA Times and Time Magazine, their "Minimum Wage Rock & Roll" landed them a deal with Arista Records and continues to influence a host of other innovators. They quickly built a massive, loyal fan base with a high profile appearance on "Saturday Night Live," and nationwide tours with Eddie Murphy, Linda Ronstadt and other major artists. The BusBoys then leapt into the mainstream of American folklore with their on-screen performance of "The Boys Are Back In Town" in Murphy's film debut, Paramount's blockbuster "48 HRS."

The Boys Are Back In Town
In the days and years since, under the direction of lead singer/songwriter Brian O'Neal, the band has performed on countless tours, appeared on numerous sound tracks, in films, on TV and was nominated for a Grammy.

Now the BusBoys want fans old and "New to You" to hear that "The Boys Are Back" with brand-new butt-bumpin' rock & roll rhythm & blues - in the current mode of musical commerce, the digital download.

On February 16th, the BusBoys release the first single of a new collection of songs, under the project title "Sex, Love and Rock & Roll". Written from Brian's experiences of life as a native Los Angelino, the series of singles begins with a BusBoys party song for the New Year, "It Must Be Saturday Night", The single will be available digitally through the BusBoys website, www.busboys.com , as a free download for two weeks, after which it will be available through the usual digital download sites.

A new BusBoys single will then be released every 60 days, with a variety of fun, interactive promotional projects introducing the BusBoys to a new generation of fans and providing a way for the Nation of existing BusBoys fans to connect and reunite with their favorite Minimum Wage Rock & Rollers.

Their now-classic anthem "The Boys Are Back In Town" has never gone away, and is often heard as a sports arena staple. The track has been used as a theme for the NBA and Fox Sports Network's coverage of Major League Baseball, while their "Did You See Me" was memorable in promoting the NFL Re-Play series on the NFL Network during the '06 - '07 season. Stay tuned!
